Day 1: Saturday

Met and transferred from Luxor airport to your Nile cruiser check in and dine on board. Overnight in Luxor.

Day 2: Sunday

Enjoy your first Egyptian sunrise, followed by visit to the West Bank to the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, The Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch on board then afternoon at leisure or take one of the *optional excursions . Overnight in Luxor.

Day 3: Monday

East Bank tour which combines a visit to Luxor temple, originally joined to Karnak by an avernue of Sphinx and Karnak temple which covers a huge area and includes serval temples, the largest being the Temple of Amun. Lunch on board while the boat sails south to Esna lock and beyond to Edfu.

Day 4: Tuesday

Morning visit to the extraordinary Temple of Horus, the mythical son of Isis and Osiris in Edfu. Here, according to myth, Horus avenged the murder of his father Osiris by defeating his father's Brother Seth in combat. Afternoon cruise onto to Kom Ombo to visit the Temple of Sobek and Haroeris before sailing on to Aswan. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 5: Wednesday

Visit the High Dam - finished in 1971; it has ensured up to three harvests a year. The Unfinished Obelisk - still rooted to the bedrock of pink granite and the Temple of Isis on Philae Island. In the afternoon relax and enjoy a trip in a traditional Felluca around Elephantine island which will lead you to the Botanical Gradens on Kitchener island given as a gift in 1890. Overnight in Aswan.

Day 6: Thursday

Morning at leisure to lie on the sun deck or visit the markets of Aswan. *Optional excursion to the ancient wonder of Abu Simbel by air, or by road. Lunch on board as the boat sails back towards Edfu where it will moor for the night.

Day 7: Friday

Morning sail north to Esna where the boat will stop to navigate the lock and the tour party will visit the visit the partly excavated Temple of Khnum which is dedicated to the ram headed god Khnum who was the patron god of cataracts who fashiuons mankind from Nile clay on his potter's wheel. Lunch on board and sail onwards to Luxor. Farewell dinner on board and moor in Luxor.

Day 8: Saturday

Check out of your cabin by 11:00 hours ready for transfer to Luxor international airport for your return flight to the UK. Lunch on board for those with later flights. *Optional excursion, Balloon flight at sunrise.
